Just finished season 6 of my Newcastle oil money game. Pretty much ran away with the league, think I was 11 points clear at the end of December. Didn't win a domestic cup but we've made the Champions League final again, having won it the last two years. Started the game with a billion in the bank, no down to about 750m balance. Have expanded St James' to 86,000 capacity, training ground, youth facilities, data analysis all state of the art. Paying 5m a week in wages. We failed the FFP wage increase test last season and were fined a massive 10k for failing.

I prefer buying very young, most of the regens are signed age 15-17. I catch them usually one season after they joined their club's u/18 team.
It annoys me when I make an enquiry and they quote more than 80m, so I tend to sign wonderkids/youths with potential rather than buying the finished product.
Between Mount, Mbappe, Foden, Mendy and Pavard I spent more than 200m.

On what edition/version was that? I remember Michael Thomas was quite a popular regen in the earlier versions.

Have been on holiday the last two seasons, due to construction taking place at St James'. Thought they would do the construction in 2024; end of 24 season I get a mail saying that construction will only be done in 2025. Prompted me to go on holiday again. Stadium now at 90,000.

Liverpool beat us to the title, was one point in it then we drew 1-1 to Arsenal on the final day, meaning LFC won it by three points.
Won the Champions League (beat LFC in the final) and beat United in the FA Cup final. 5 trophies (Super Cup, Community Shield, World Club Champs, FA Cup and ECC) in a season where I just set tactics and picked a couple of starters, this team is way too good.

Racked up a huge profit this season (300m plus) due to selling Pavard, Saka, Darwin the Uruguayan and Marco Benassi. Brought in an Evertonian kid with very similar stats to St Gerrard.
PSG paid 148m for Darwin. Last night they came back with a 160m offer for Raul, I had previously told Raul he can leave if we receive an offer of 160m for him. Roughly 100 games played for us and 40 goals scored by Raul, but his international record is just silly, 12 games 30 goals.
Found a quick af striker at Cardiff to replace Raul. Haaland, Mbappe, Aguero now the front three.
