If you don't see the options we highlight, it may be because you don't have the necessary permissions (and/or if you have access to multiple GA properties, make sure you're in the Good !) From here you can create a custom dimension from the Custom Dimensions tab: Screenshot of creating custom definitions in the GA interface Next, you will create the dimension by choosing: Dimension. Name - Don't use hyphens (underscore or space is fine) and Job Function Email List make it something descriptive that you and your team will quickly recognize in reporting. Scope – Again, this will be either an event or a user, depending on what you want to track. Description - This is just additional information for anyone looking at this dimension and trying to get a better idea of what is being tracked - be as descriptive, clear and concise as possible. Parameter - The parameter for your custom dimension comes from an event parameter. or application, in Google Analytics or in Google Tag Manager. You must have created an event parameter that you can reference here before creating a custom definition. A screenshot of the create a new custom dimension screen in GA Once you're done adding this information, you click save and you can see your custom dimension: Screenshot of adding custom dimensions to your GA profile. If you haven't created event settings for your custom dimension in your GA account.
